LEADERSHIP &

RESILIENCE PROGRAMMING

Leadership – a topic that much has been written and yet there is still so much to learn. The goal of Archie Care’s Leadership programs is to equip your students with critical skills they need to be successful right now. Many of these programs were written in response to what is going on around us in 2020, so this isn’t your grandmother’s leadership program. All programs will be tailored to the specific leadership population the program is contracted for.

CAN WE PLEASE PUT
THE "I" BACK IN TEAM?

When did we define a “good student leader” as putting yourself last? We put our chapter’s needs before our own. We rearrange meeting times to accommodate everyone’s schedules except our own. We allow our student volunteer role to become more like a job. Effective leadership includes self-care.

In this program, we’ll explore “servant leadership” in a different way – one that puts the emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being of you, the leader first. You will leave with permission to prioritize yourself and appropriate language to use when reclaiming space in your life. This presentation reveals you can still be a good team leader, without always having to come last.

LEADING DURING
TURBULENT TIMES

Student leadership has never been easy, but students are now being presented with unique challenges likely not covered in their traditional transition binders. Being able to sift through the noise and lead with purpose is more important than ever.

In this interactive and engaging presentation, student leaders receive a framework that allows them to refocus on their most critical leadership priorities. Participants will connect with students in similar leadership positions and brainstorm how they can lead with intentionality and purpose.

ZOOOOM LIKE A BOSS: PRESENTING VIRTUALLY DOESN’T MEAN PRESENTING BORINGLY

Effectively delivering virtual content is not as simple as turning on your webcam and talking to the green light. For those who do it well, there is a different kind of preparation and it involves more than solid content. You now must think through how you present, where you present, and how you’re going to keep participants engaged throughout your entire presentation.

This virtual program allows students to reframe the way they prepare to present, learn how to retool current content, and identify ways to make virtual presentations more visually appealing. Students leave excited, inspired, and ready to Zoooom Like a Boss!

HOW TO DO YOUR JOB AND STILL HAVE FRIENDS: IFC STANDARD'S BOARD TRAINING

Holding a chapter member or organization accountable for a policy violation is difficult and for most, not much fun. Most of our IFC Vice Presidents of Standards and Accountably were simply elected to the position because they were “good guys”. They’ve never had any formal training on how to do what they are being asked to do. Over the past decade Archie has supported IFCs and undergraduate chapters, he’s learned that students think they want peer-to-peer accountably, but in reality they have no idea how to make that happen consistently and fairly.

This training provides your IFC leaders a much-needed roadmap for conducting effective standards board training, appropriate talking points to begin building that all-important bridge to your Student Conduct department, and help them understand why they should want a strong culture of peer-to-peer accountability.
