Reframing the narrative surrounding mental health and addiction
by facilitating honest and vulnerable conversations.
MENTAL HEALTH & WELLNESS PROGRAMMING
It's Okay Not to Be Okay
Depression is real. It’s not a hurt that you can simply make “go away,” and you can’t just “walk it off.” If you’ve ever suffered from it, or had a friend or family member who has, you know – it can ravage a soul and leave a shell of a person. This program will allow attendees to first assess their own mental health and then begin to identify ways they can improve their daily self-care plan. Participants will learn to identify signs their friend, family member, or classmate may be struggling. They will discover action steps they can employ to encourage help-seeking while avoiding the less-than-helpful things many say to those struggling with depression.
ALCOHOL & DRUG PREVENTION PROGRAM
Benzos, Blow & Bourbon:
An Honest Conversation
In every college, coming-of-age movie, beer pong, parties, and hangovers are basically a guarantee. For many, the big screen reflects our lived reality. Most college students will at least dabble in alcohol use, perhaps even experiment with other drugs. It’s normal, right? While most will not find themselves in a hospital ICU as a result of a drug overdose, most of us will know someone who battles alcoholism or addiction. These battles are often fought alone, with many of their friends having difficulty confronting the dark nature of the disease. In this powerful program, Archie will use his own personal journey to show how easily partying turns problematic. Students will learn how to spot warning signs in their peers. Ultimately, equipping us all to have vulnerable conversations that can help those struggling to find a path to recovery.
LEADERSHIP & RESILIENCE PROGRAMMING
Leading Through Turbulent Times
Leadership has never been easy, but your managers and student leaders are now being presented with unique and complex challenges. Being able to sift through the noise and lead with purpose is more important than ever. In this interactive and engaging program, attendees will receive a framework that will allow them to refocus on their most critical leadership priorities. Participants will also connect with others in similar leadership positions and brainstorm how they can lead with intentionality and purpose.
Thank you for taking the time to check out my website and the services I provide! I hope the information on this website gives you a glimpse into who I am and why I do this work.
I believe passionately that real, authentic conversations can begin to change someone’s life. The truth of it is displayed in my own life. One-day-at-a time, life can get better. Sometimes it just takes a while for us to find that first day.
And, I would be remiss if I didn’t say this:
If you ever find yourself in a place that you are hurting so badly you can’t seem to think you’re way out of whatever situation you’re in and you feel like you have no one to talk to – you do now.
Please let me know how I can best support you.
All the best,

Scott Swedberg, CEO & Founder, The Job Sauce
After one month of quarantine, I knew my employees needed support tending to their mental health. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't found Archie! He built a strong connection via Zoom using his authenticity, humor, and personal journey; and he kept everyone engaged so they put the self care strategies into practice. Archie was the most valuable resource I could have given to my team, myself included!
Abbey Erwin, Fraternity & Sorority Life, Virginia Tech University
